“I attended the Summer BBQ at Ferndale Nursery Home whilst visiting my Nan who has been a resident for 3 years. Not only do the staff always do a fantastic job all year round, today they put on a wonderful afternoon for the families. The food was fabulous in no short supply with a great range of drinks and desserts. The staff were very attentive in serving us accompanied with a live music act and a fun raffle to top it off. It was wonderful to see Nan out and about with the other residents. So thank you to everyone for such a lovely afternoon.”

“This is the most caring home I could have wished for my husband in his last weeks. I was continually updated on his well-being and what was being done for him. I was allowed to spend some time with him just before he passed. We were treated with dignity and respect. I cannot thank them enough for the care provided and would wholeheartedly recommend this home.”

“Dear Sir/Madam, We are very grateful for the care and support our mum has received at the nursing home. As she is living with dementia, finding a place where she would feel safe, respected and well cared for was incredibly important to our family. We fortunately found Ferndale Nursing home. Mum has been a resident for over 4 years and the staff have been kind, patient and understanding, taking the time to get to know Mum and her individual needs. They treat her with dignity and compassion, which gives us great reassurance that she is in good hands. Communication with the family has also been very good, and it is comforting to know that the team is always there to support Mum through the challenges that come with dementia. We particularly appreciate how the home involves families and encourages us to be part of Mum's life. They organise lovely activities and special events throughout the year, including summer gatherings and Christmas celebrations. These occasions are a wonderful opportunity for families to spend quality time with their loved ones, while also getting to know the staff in a more relaxed and social environment. Nothing can take away the worry of having a loved one in a care home, but knowing Mum is cared for by people who genuinely care about her wellbeing has made a huge difference to our family.
