Our dedicated activities coordinator ensures every resident can take part in enjoyable daily activities, within their own abilities.

Something to look forward to

A dedicated activities coordinator

We have a dedicated activities coordinator who makes sure all our residents are able, should they wish, to take part in a wide range of enjoyable daily activities, within their own abilities. Activities change daily and weekly to suit each resident, so there’s always something to look forward to.

  • Gentle armchair exercise set to music
  • Arts, crafts, knitting and natter
  • Board games, puzzles and quizzes
  • Singing, musicians and entertainment
  • Films and movie afternoons
  • Days out to local parks and gardens

A typical week

Our weekly activities

From early-morning tea to an evening drink, every day follows a gentle, familiar rhythm of meals, refreshments and activities. Choose a day to see the full schedule.

  • Early Morning Cup of Tea

    6:45am to 7:00am

  • Breakfast

    7:30am to 8:15am

  • Games & Exercise

    10:00am to 11:30am

  • Morning Coffee

    10:30am to 10:45am

  • Lunch

    12:30pm to 13:30pm

  • Board Games / Puzzles

    15:00pm to 17:00pm

  • Afternoon Tea

    15:00pm to 15:15pm

  • Supper

    17:30pm to 16:30pm

  • Evening Drink

    19:45pm to 20:00pm

Beyond the daily programme

We also have regular visits

Familiar faces from the local community visit throughout the month, bringing music, movement, faith, furry friends and trips out to look forward to.

Hairdressing

Weekly hairdressing appointments are available upon request.

Singer

Local singers regularly visit, singing classics from a bygone era.

Musician

Local musicians entertain our residents with beautiful classical music.

Personal trainer

A personal trainer visits on Tuesday afternoons for a gentle armchair exercise class set to music, our residents love it.

Pet as Therapy (PAT)

A Pets as Therapy volunteer visits once a month with her gorgeous miniature long-haired dachshund.

Church services

All Saints church visits on the first Sunday of the month, and the Revd Beverley Miles conducts a Wednesday service. Easter, Harvest, Remembrance Sunday and Christmas are also marked.

Days out

Surrounded by beautiful West Sussex venues, we book trips to National Trust parks and houses, garden centres, Tilgate Park, Brighton Marina, Tulleys and Holmbush farms, and the seaside.

Summer BBQ

Fun for all the family at our annual summer BBQ, residents and family enjoy the sun and great food together.

Christmas

Carol singing from a local school or charity, and a Christmas party for residents and family to enjoy the festive season.
